In December 2023, a donation of £4,100 was made to fund the construction of a security wall around St Mary’s Sisters’ Hostel at Mile Sita, one of our previously funded projects. This initiative aims to enhance safeguarding and security for the residents and ensure the continued safety of the community.
Why This Project Matters
The Sisters’ Hostel at Mile Sita serves as a vital facility, providing accommodation and support for individuals dedicated to serving the local community. However, the absence of proper security measures has posed challenges, including risks to the safety of the residents and the hostel’s property.
Building a Secure Future
The construction of the security wall will address these challenges by:
- Enhancing Security: Providing a safe and secure environment for the Sisters and the surrounding community.
- Safeguarding Resources: Protecting the hostel’s facilities and property from potential threats.
- Fostering Peace of Mind: Allowing the Sisters to focus on their mission without concerns for safety.
A Continuing Commitment to Support
This project reflects our ongoing commitment to not only fund initiatives but also to ensure their long-term sustainability. By safeguarding St Mary’s at Mile Sita, we are supporting the invaluable work of the Sisters and reinforcing the foundation of a safe, thriving community.
